New Parent/Student/Teacher Platform: Studio AutoPilot
Westmont Music Academy is getting a scheduling system revamp! Starting May 1st, we will be upgrading our lesson management systems to Studio AutoPilot. We are so excited for this change & you should be too; we’ll tell you why!
Studio AutoPilot (SAP) is an automated scheduling/billing platform complete with a parent/student/teacher dashboard. Almost everything now can be done online!
It will be as natural as booking your own flights instead of calling a travel agent.
SAP will allow you to communicate directly with your teacher, get your practice assignments online, and manage your lessons and account details.
Need to update your credit card? Do it all online through SAP!
Need to schedule a Group Makeup Lesson? No problem! Sign-up online!
Need to switch lesson times next month? Book it ALL online!
There is also a LIVE video lesson component so there is no more searching for or remembering your teacher's Zoom links and passwords!
The enhanced parent dashboard will allow for even more transparency as we switch our studio from a flat-rate billing system to a true billing system starting May 1st, 2023. Meaning, you will only be billed for the number of Monday lessons we are open in a given month, for example. We are excited about the new system and we know it will help our studio families have an improved, more connected teaching experience!
If you’re a parent of a current student/current adult student of WMA and have't done so already, please please please register for SAP using the link we sent to you in April. You should have received one over text & email. If you cannot find the link, please text or call the academy at (630) 474-3090 and we will resend the link.
IMPORTANT: SAP will be LIVE on our website soon. If you are not registered through SAP, it is possible to lose your lesson slot since incoming students will now be able to see our open availability online.

Linssey Ma is an educator, researcher, orchestra player, and a charity-recitalist. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Linssey was exposed to music at a very young age. She began with singing lessons and it wasn’t until a few years later that she began learning Suzuki Violin. Her first violin teacher, Libor Ondras, is considered to be her mentor and someone whom she thinks of very highly. Along with Ondras, Linssey has studied violin with nationally and internationally well known artists from Czechoslovakia, Italy, Norway, Russia, and from the States.
Linssey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music at Grand Valley State University, where she studied violin with international concert artist, Gregory Maytan. Linssey also received her Master of Arts in Musicology at
Western Michigan University where she completed her research on Latin American Baroque Villancicos
and continued violin studies with acclaimed artist, David Lisker.
Linssey loves discovering new music and sharing it to her audience. She is an active player in the Battle Creek and Holland Symphony Orchestra. She is also an active performer for other local chamber orchestras
such as the Grand Rapids Vintage Parlor and Hinsdale SDA church.
Linssey has been teaching at WMA for a year, but overall has been teaching for a total of five years.
She believes her purpose as both an educator and musician is bridging communities together through music.
When Linssey is not teaching, in her spare time she enjoys getting outside and exercising,
cooking delicious meals, and also dabbles in photography!
Thank you for being a part of the WMA family, Linssey!
You are a joy and we are absolutely thrilled to have you here as one of our wonderful string instructors!
