Group Classes
Group Music Lessons at Westmont Music AcademyAt Westmont Music Academy, we believe group classes are an excellent way for beginners to start their musical journey. These classes allow students to progress at their own pace and join at any time during the year. Each week, teachers work individually with students—reviewing past assignments, introducing new concepts, and ensuring steady progress.
Together as a group, students also explore music theory through engaging workbooks—learning to write music, draw notes, read rhythms, name notes, and much more.
Our group classes meet for 60 minutes each week (55 minutes of instruction plus 5 minutes reserved for parent questions and assignment clarification). They are designed to be fun, cost-effective, and inspiring. Longer than a typical private lesson and at a lower cost, group classes provide valuable opportunities for peer support, collaboration, and confidence-building through social interaction.
Group lessons are also a wonderful way to gauge a student’s interest and commitment. Many students begin in group classes to build a strong foundation, then transition into private lessons as their skills grow and they are ready for more personalized guidance in reaching their musical goals.
Group classes require a minimum number of students to run, ensuring a lively and interactive environment where everyone can grow together.
